PACT sustains birth families, but also creates new, “forever” families through adoption and fostering, and educates the professionals who care for them “from creche to care home”.
Much of what we do is supported, directly or indirectly, by national or local Government. It is because, quite rightly, so much of what we do has ‘strings attached’ — it is for specific projects or contracts, but often with the cash being handed over long after the project or task has been performed — that the agency has a permanent and pressing need for ‘free funds’: that is, donations or fundraising initiatives which are unrestricted in their application. Without these funds, the agency could never grow or develop new ways of making a difference to families in the Thames Valley.
And that is how we can say that a legacy to PACT guarantees that we will be able to continue making that difference.
