PACT has been making a difference to thousands of families across the region for nearly 100 years. The nature of the work and the pressure on society may have changed in that time, but our reliance on help from people who share our vision has not.
If you have time or talents to offer click here to read how you can get involved as a volunteer.
If you would like to make a donation to PACT or sponsor an event, read on. These are some of the things which make a real difference to our service users when we can provide them.
- Day trips
- Basic skills and other training e.g. a Parenting courses
- Occassional creches to enable a group activity
- Messy play at one of the drop-ins
Here are some examples of how your donations make a real and lasting impact.....
A recent session about "benefits" with a
visit from staff at the Children's Information Centre resulted in a family at
the drop-in being able to apply for a laptop computer from a special fund. "We have said farewell to several children who
started school recently having been with us throughout their pre-school years.
We heard they are enjoying school and their parents told us how much they felt
that the sessions at the drop-in had helped to prepare their children for the
future." A mum recently returned to the drop-in at Langley
Hall with her new baby, 15 years after attending the same drop-in with her
first child! She has good memories of being there in the past, and met up again
with another mum there who was also there 15 years ago!
If
you can give anything, however small, you can be sure that it will go
straight to the project or activity you have in mind. It will be even
more valuable if you can Gift Aid your gift.
