Adoption
( 16 items )
Every journey starts with one small step ........ and PACT sticks with its adopters all the way. PACT has helped thousands of people on the journey to adoption: the heart-searching of deciding whether adoption is right for them; supporting them with information and informal discussion all the way through to formal application to adopt; and identifying "cared for" children (cared for by local authorities) for whom a placement in that particular family would be successful. But it doesn't end there. Once an Adoption Order has been made, PACT offers ongoing post-adoption support to the entire family; with training and social events for adopters; and helps adopted children to decide whether and how to contact birth relatives. PACT sets no upper limit on the age of prospective adoptive parents who may be considered. If YOU can demonstrate the emotional and physical health and the energy to care for a young person throughout their childhood and beyond, contact PACT-adoption.

Education
( 12 items )
PACT (Education) is an approved EdExcel and CACHE NVQ
Assessment Centre, dedicated to training and developing those working
in the Health & Social Care sector. Our primary aim is to support
best practice by providing assessment and qualifications that meet
national quality and regulatory requirements and standards across all
social care settings. Our main focus is within the voluntary,
independent and private sectors.
As a specialist organisation, PACT Education has the flexibility to
tailor programmes to fit your specific needs or those of your
company. We never take on more work than our assessors can
handle, so you can be confident that your individual needs will be met
in a prompt, friendly and capable manner. We have a strong
reputation for reliability and staying with candidates until
qualifications are complete.

Housing and Community
( 9 items )
The ultimate aim of all of our
family work is to increase the quality and life chances of children
ensuring they are safe from harm and have every opportunity to thrive.
In doing such we know that ‘family’ is a broad term encompassing more
than the biological parents. Through providing a range of services,
activities and support groups we are able to reach single parents,
married and co-habiting parents, families on low income and
professional parents with little time, older siblings, grandparents,
aunts, uncles, carers, foster carers, adoptive parents as well as other
agencies who also play a role in the childs life.
We
have
experience of service delivery for families from all backgrounds
including homeless families as well as those affected by domestic
violence. We
believe that we must reach into the community to where the families are
and not expect all families to have the ability, desire or confidence
to come to the building we prefer. Through the use of outreach work and
our access to a variety of well placed community facilities through our
Diocesan connections, we are able to reach some of the most isolated
and vulnerable families.
