Berinsfield Children’s Centre is a community based centre which caters for Berinsfield and its surrounding villages. The centre has an open door policy and provides three drop-in sessions per week.  Parents attend with their children and are encouraged to join in with the many activities on offer.

An example week is below:
 
Monday mornings start off with Rhythm Band, a chance for the children and parents to develop their language by sharing songs and rhymes. This session is followed by Messy Play then Lunch. In the afternoon, the local Midwife, Jan Kipling, runs The Baby Lunchbox, this is a Breast Feeding group offering support and advice on feeding and baby issues.

A Newcomers Group is running on a Tuesday morning, this is to encourage new families that have previously not used the centre, to have a taste of what services are on offer. A 5 week baby massage course is also running Tuesday mornings.

Wednesday is cooking day, children make their own healthy culinary delights to take home and share with their families.

Thursday is Drop-in and lunch.  Free, healthy, cooked lunches are available for the children Mondays and Thursdays, adults pay £1.00.

Family Support Workers are on hand to assist/advise on debt, housing and family issues. An ‘Active Tots’ session will start on Tuesday 20th February, this course will run for 6 weeks and are a fun way to improve balance and Co-ordination through the use of games.
