A report into the social return of PACT adoption placements

A recent report by Baker Tilley and the Cass Business School regarding PACT’s domestic adoption service shows that each adoptive placement delivers a social return of over £1m. The Government’s focus on improving adoption has not yet identified the central role of adoption support and the need to ensure that it is properly funded. Maisie’s story (screened on BBC2 in April 2011) demonstrates how such support can transform children’s lives. The positive benefit of doing so is clearly overwhelming.
