PACT's Social Return on Investment (SROI)

Baker Tilly and the Cass Business School have carried out research into the Social Return on Investment (SROI) of three of PACT's services.

Domestic Adoption Placements

A report into PACT’s domestic adoption service shows that each adoptive placement delivers a social return of over £1m. The Government’s focus on improving adoption has not yet identified the central role of adoption support and the need to ensure that it is properly funded. Maisie’s story (screened on BBC2 in April 2011) demonstrates how such support can transform children’s lives. The positive benefit of doing so is clearly overwhelming.

Alana House

A report into PACT's Alana House found: "The result is that, even with the conservatism in the analysis, the relevant deductions, and the fact that some areas (notably some of the wider impacts for children and other family) have not been evaluated, over £35.1m of economic or social benefit is seen to flow from a project which only costs between £160k and £190k per annum to run.”

Witney Children's Centre - healthy eating programme

The report found: "In its healthy eating programme, this study shows that the Children's Centres in Witney are delivering over £5.8m of value a year from the 462 adults and 493 children seen."
