Fostering

The children we need foster homes for will be placed by the local authority. They are likely to be over 8 years and in need of permanent care, until they are ready to live independently. They will come from a range of ethnic backgrounds.  Some of them may have had a number of previous placements.

We are looking for a range of permanent foster carers from different backgrounds. You must have some experience of working with children and be able to work with therapeutic parenting techniques. You will need to have flexible work arrangements that will enable you to be available for your foster child and to meet the requirements of a foster carer.

If permanent foster care isn’t for you, we are also looking for families with time at weekends or during school holidays to provide on-going short term breaks. You will need to have experience in communicating with children and be free to offer regular care. You will also be working in partnership with the child’s permanent carers and social worker.
