Adoption
Every journey starts with one small step ........ and PACT sticks with its adopters all the way.

PACT has helped thousands of people on the journey to adoption: the heart-searching of deciding whether adoption is right for them; supporting them with information and informal discussion all the way through to formal application to adopt; and identifying "cared for" children (cared for by local authorities) for whom a placement in that particular family would be successful.

But it doesn't end there. Once an Adoption Order has been made, PACT offers ongoing post-adoption support to the entire family; with training and social events for adopters; and helps adopted children to decide whether and how to contact birth relatives.

PACT sets no upper limit on the age of prospective adoptive parents who may be considered. If YOU can demonstrate the emotional and physical health and the energy to care for a young person throughout their childhood and beyond, contact PACT-adoption.

Homeopathy Treatment PDF Print E-mail

PACT is very pleased to be able to provide a Homeopathy service for adopters, foster carers and their children.

Registered Homeopath and child care social worker Chris Braithwaite is able to bring her extensive experience of the needs of looked after children and their families to this service, which has produced excellent results.

Have you any outstanding health issues that a talk to Chris might help?

"It has been invaluable to be seen by a therapist who not only understands the issues surrounding adoption, but also treats the family as a whole, appreciating how problems and stress affect all of us and not just treating issues in isolation. The children have responded well to treatment and it is tailored to situations as they evolve, with feedback exchanged between sessions. As parents, being able to take a step back and work out, with Chris’s help, what is going on, has helped us tremendously."                    (PACT Adoptive parent)
