PACT Father's Group is a great opportunity for Adoptive Fathers (and
those due to become Adoptive Fathers) to share the challenges, joys,
responsibilities of parenting adopted children.
The group meets 3 times a year and the fathers choose the issues they
want to be discussed and how they want to cover them. There is
also the opportunity to review the latest research, information,
articles, and to hear from guest speakers.
2008 dates
Tuesday 11th March
– Adopted Children and Education:
(Andrew O’Connor, schoolteacher and adoptive father
of 2 children. Andrew will talk about practical ways that we can support our
adopted children in school, including an overview of the special needs system
and who to contact to obtain additional support.)
Tuesday 10th June Tuesday 21st
October
The group meet at the George Hotel in Wallingford at 8.00 for a bar
meal.
