Medical Herbalist PDF Print E-mail

Freda Miller BSc (Exon) BSc (Wales) MNIMH MCPP is a   Image
registered
Medical Herbalist with the National Institute of Medical Herbalists (www.nimh.org.uk).

In a developing partnership with PACT she works with the charity to provide support through a holistic approach to illness, treating symptoms with herbal medicine.

How does this service work?

During the initial consultation a detailed medical case history is taken in addition to any necessary physical examination, such as pulse, blood pressure tests etc. This information is then used to make a diagnosis and treatment options are discussed in partnership with the patient. Finally a personalised herbal treatment is prepared and medicine prescribed. Treatment may also include advice on positive diet and lifestyle changes.

A follow up visit is usually recommended after 2 weeks and then subsequent visits ideally taking place every 4 – 6 weeks to monitor progress.

This service is open to PACT’s Foster Carers and Adopters. If you would like to arrange an appointment or require further information please contact Samantha Darley on 0118 9387600 or e-mail Samanthad@pactcharity.org
