Commissioning PACT for children's services
Building and strengthening families since 1911, PACT has built up a wealth of experience from delivering quality children’s services for more than 100 years across London and the Thames Valley.
In doing this we work collaboratively with a number of key stakeholders including local authorities, healthcare professionals and childcare practitioners. This enables us to confidently provide holistic services that assess and meet a child’s individual needs.
PACT has delivered a range of children’s services for a number of local authorities including family finding for children in care, family support services for Bracknell Forest and Buckinghamshire, and children’s centres across Oxfordshire.
We also work with local authorites to providide their own adoptive and foster care families with access to our unique FACTS service - therapeutic support for children.
We therefore understand the challenges commissioners face in meeting the needs of children and their families and we have the flexibility to ensure that all our services are high quality, outcome-focused and excellent value for money.
PACT’s heritage means we have excellent local knowledge and networks that rival larger organisations, demonstrated with many local partnerships including local companies, churches, schools, healthcare providers and many more. This ensures we are best placed to reach the children and families most in need, and to work together, in partnerships, to ensure the best outcomes and life chances are realised.
A recent Ofsted inspection of one of PACT’s children’s centres found: “The warmth of the welcome and the well-targeted, coordinated support and guidance families receive has resulted in an increasing number of families from the reach accessing the centre since it opened.” and that we were making “a positive impact on the lives of families and children in the area.”
