Wantage Children's Centre

The children’s centre in Wantage is here to help local families by providing information, advice and support. We aim to provide a warm, safe and welcoming environment where children and families feel valued and listened to. There are a variety of activities on offer for all parents, grandparents and carers with children aged under 5 years.
The centre is based in The Butler Centre, a converted Victorian school on Church Street. We have a range of regular activities. Click here for our most recent programme.
In partnership with Wantage CE School the centre runs out of school clubs for children up to the age of 11 both before and after the school day. In addition we often run Holiday Playschemes over the school holiday periods, to which all children aged 4 – 11 years are welcomed.
In addition to Wantage town, we also serve a number of outlying villages, including East and West Hendred, Ardington, East and West Challow, Childrey, Uffington and Woolstone as well as Ashbury and Compton Beauchamp. We want to be able to take our services out
to these areas too and have a planned programme of sessions and activities in different community venues.
To find out more about any of the services and activities on offer at the centre please contact us or just pop in to pick up some information.
