Witney Children's Centre
Witney Children's Centre is here to offer you and your family fun, help and support. The Centre is a place where you and your child can play and learn together.
The Children centre in Witney runs sessions from Witney Methodist Church in the Centre of town and is able to provide a number of rural services with the use of its specially commissioned van.
Fun, Playing and Learn
As well as numerous drop-ins focusing on Grandparents, play techniques with your children and breast feeding support, Witney Children's Centre offers a fun chance to Rhythm & Rhyme! This drop-in uses musical instruments and songs to involve you and your children in singing songs you know and a few you might have forgotten!
Another popular drop-in is the Dad's Group on Saturdays where local dads and male carers can join in arts and crafts, get parenting advice and support and a chat with other dads over a cuppa.
Green Fingers
After being on a waiting list for three years, Witney Children's Centre now has it's own allotment. Thanks to the help of Andy Howells, the allotment is ready to be planted giving the opportunity to families with garden space of there own to plant vegetables, grow flowers or simply a space to enjoy the sunshine.
It will give the opportunity for children to watch and understand about where vegetables and flowers come from and hopefully use them at home.
