Working with schools in the community
Our Family Support Workers are based at local primary schools and assist families of children who are in attendance of or anticipated to be in attendance of the school.
Focus of Work
- To provide information and support to families on an individual basis to overcome difficulties that are having detrimental effects on family life.
- To make a difference to the lives and education of vulnerable children attending or likely to attend the new school.
- To enhance the inclusion of affected pupils and maximise their opportunities to benefit from the whole curriculum the school.
- To promote community integration through facilitating access to a range of community activities to support family life.
