Volunteering Opportunities
There are good opportunities for volunteering with PACT. Our small army of volunteers are important; they compliment and enhance our services enabling us to provide more than might otherwise be possible.
All volunteers are CRB checked and references taken up. Service users and non-service users alike are supported in identifying how their skills can be developed and utilized effectively; it is important that experiences are rewarding and fulfilling.
PACT works thoughtfully with service users wishing to work as volunteers to identify a path that will enable them to grow as individuals.
Volunteer Position of the Month
Allotment Helper
Andy Howells has kindly donated his time, energy and hard work into creating PACT's first allotment project. Witney Children's Centre successfully managed to obtain a plot which had to be built up from scratch with the idea that the children and parents of the centre can use it as a place of learning about growing your own veg, healthy eating or somewhere to just get out in the fresh air. As well as fundrasing for supplies, Andy has balanced his time working for the Open University, to create a starting point for the allotment to grow!
