Leave a lasting gift to charity
Around 70 per cent of the population in England and Wales have not made a will. Yet it is an easy process to make a will, and leave a bequest to your favourite charity at the same time.

A new organisation, Gift2Percent, is asking people to make a will and pledge to leave two per cent of the value of their estate to a charity of their choice.
Gift2Percent was set up by PACT Trustee Alasdair Macarthur and a friend Keith Douglas, who runs a will-writing company.
As PACT is one of the founding charities, it gets a donation from the will-writing company each time someone signs up to the scheme and makes a will, even if they choose to leave a bequest to another charity.
PACT would like to invite its supporters to have a look at www.gift2percent.co.uk and, if they haven't already, make or amend their will and consider donating 2% to PACT, or another favourite charity.
Keith Douglas, co-founder of scheme and Director of County Wills, said: “I’m delighted that, since a life threatening road accident last year, I have been able to develop and launch an idea that will deliver significant benefits to any charity, and particularly North West Air Ambulance and PACT, as our founding charities”.
Jan Fishwick, Chief Executive of Parents And Children Together, said: "PACT is pleased to be one of the two founding charities for gift2percent.
"This is an exciting development that will stand to benefit PACT and other charities immediately and into the future.”
Alasdair Macarthur, co-founder of scheme, said: "Having been sponsored by the Vodafone Foundation to work at PACT – a Reading based charity – it is great to see that our idea has gone from drawing board to live in just two months.
"It is delivering immediate benefit not only to North West Air Ambulance and PACT but also to other charities that have already benefitted such as Salvation Army, NSPCC, Clic Sargent and Barnardos.”
