The Strengthening Families Team
The Strengthening Families Team is a reactive service for PACT adopters, made up of PACT’s in-house therapeutically trained social workers.
Some families may need support initially after the placement to enable bonding and attachment, some families may just need advice and reassurance at the end of the phone or via email as and when they need it. Others may refer themselves at times of crisis throughout their adopted child’s life such as after a house move, family bereavement and difficulties at school. Strengthening Families can also provide help pre-placement when adopters are considering a match.
PACT is proud to say that a PACT adoptive family is a PACT family for life and therefore families have access to the adoption support service whenever they need it.
The Strengthening Families team works closely alongside the PACT FACTS team who provide longer term, more specialist intervention.

PACT is grateful to Children In Need for a grant that supports the cost of providing the Strengthening Families Team
