Events volunteers needed
PACT is looking for volunteers to join its Events team which supports a number of events that PACT hosts throughout the year.
The calendar of events currently includes an International Women’s Day service in March, family fun days for our adoptive families in the summer, fundraising garden parties, challenge events, publicity and information events and Carols at the Minster for Christmas, and we are looking to add even more.
We are looking for volunteers to help with planning, marketing, refreshments, welcoming people, decorating venues as well as cheering our runners and supporters on in their challenges.
Louise has been volunteering with PACT for seven years. She said: ”I enjoy working with people and this was an opportunity to join an organisation making a difference to a wide variety of children, families and vulnerable women. I have always felt welcome and valued.”
Louise added that one of the highlights of her volunteering was being part of the team that recently accepted the Queens Award For Voluntary Service.
Recently Louise volunteered at PACT’s fundraising garden party at the stunning Englefield House gardens, where Louise helped with serving refreshments.
Louise said: ”It was good fun! The team were friendly and we worked well together. I enjoyed it and it was rewarding to see the guests enjoying it too.”
Louise said she would encourage people to consider volunteering at PACT. “Everyone is welcoming and you will be helping a very worthwhile small charity.”
