PACT has been awarded a grant of £28,854 from Children In Need for its Bounce Back 4 Kids services for children affected by domestic abuse.
Bounce Back 4 Kids is PACT’s targeted domestic recovery programme for children and parents who have experienced domestic abuse. Services are bespoke, responding to the immediate needs of the children and include tailored individual support, group workshops, specialist newsletters and guided peer support via a private Facebook group.
The project helps children to have a better understanding of what they have experienced and to know it wasn’t their fault. Expert staff support children and parents simultaneously, to help them heal and move on.
The aim is for children to better manage their emotions and behaviours in a more positive way, improve attachments between child and parent, and help children to form healthy and positive relationships with peers and other adults.
