New improved website for The Adopter Hub

AN ONLINE support platform for adoptive families has a brand new website!

The Adopter Hub provides peer-to-peer support and professional advice to adopters and other families through a range of online tools such as eLearning, webchat, webinars and a discussion forum.

The Adopter Hub partners with local authorities, virtual schools, regional adoption agencies and voluntary adoption agencies across the UK who purchase subscriptions on behalf of their adopters, special guardians, foster carers, social workers and education professionals working with adopters and special guardians.

The Adopter Hub website – theadopterhub.org - has undergone a major overhaul to make the site even easier for users to access the support they need at a time that works for them.

The Adopter Hub was developed three years ago with a grant from the Department for Education by adoption charity Parents And Children Together (PACT) in response to the growing demand from adopters for easily accessible and round-the-clock support.

Natausha van Vliet, Chief Executive at PACT, said: “We now have around 4,000 users of The Adopter Hub and we are adding resources and useful information and videos every day.

“We felt it was important to update and improve the functionality of the website so that it is even easier for our users to navigate.

“We now have sections specifically for special guardians, foster carers and education professionals as well as adopters. We  have also improved our forums and our eLearning sections and will soon be introducing podcasts and audio content.

“Adopters and our other users have told us what they want, and what they find most helpful, and we have used their comments to shape the new website.”

To mark the launch of the new Adopter Hub, PACT will be premiering a short film on its You Tube channel on Thursday 15th July at 2pm. The film will include a virtual tour of the new website and a speech from Children’s Minister Vicky Ford.
