OUTSTANDING- rated adoption charity Parents And Children Together (PACT) is taking a stand at the Big Church Day Out on 24th and 25th May to encourage festival-goers to consider adoption.
14 May 2014
The Big Church Day Out is a two-day Christian festival taking place at Wiston House in West Sussex. More than 20,000 people from all backgrounds and churches around the region will be coming together to enjoy celebrate faith and being a ‘church’ together.
PACT, which was founded in 1911 by a grant from the Oxford Diocese, has placed hundreds of children with families of different faiths.
Katherine and Johnathan are churchgoers who adopted three sisters through PACT in 2013.
Katherine said: “We are delighted to be parents, thanks to PACT, and are fortunate to be able to give a home to these three lovely girls. Now we have such a strong bond with them, they are part of our family and it’s a privilege to be their mum.”
PACT staff will have a stand in the Market Place at the Big Church Day Out where they will be able to answer questions about adoption and fostering and talk about some of the nearly 7,000 children waiting to be adopted.
