Move Every Day in May 2020

Move Every Day in May challenges you to do some form of physical activity every day during the month of May in support of our work.

It's completely up to you how you do it, either by running, walking, cycling or, as outdoor exercise may not be possible at this time, an indoor workout, treadmill run, yoga, skipping in the garden, star jumps with the kids, 10 times up and down the stairs. It's your challenge, your way! You can take part together as a family or virtually with a group of colleagues or friends.

To take part costs just £14 and all participants will receive a printable activity tracker to keep a log of their achievements plus a medal and certificate when the challenge is complete. You can purchase additional medals for children for £2.50 each. All proceeds raised from the registration fees will be used to support PACT’s work building and strengthening families.

People taking part can also choose to further support PACT’s work by getting sponsored to complete the Move Every Day in May. If you choose to raise additional sponsorship, every penny will go directly towards PACT's work supporting adoptive families, vulnerable women and families affected by domestic abuse. Anyone raising £50 sponsorship or more will receive an exclusive goody bag.

Move Every Day in May is a 2020 adaptation of our annual challenge Marathon in May. We have adapted the challenge to reflect the current situation and make the focus a daily activity rather than a distance. If you'd like to use this challenge to complete a marathon distance over the month, we can also provide a tracker for this.

A PACT adopter who took part in Marathon in May in 2019 said,

"We completed the Marathon in May through several long walks, which our son was able to do in his pushchair, plus some running and walking. We even boosted our miles with an extremely muddy and tricky 13 mile bike ride in the Kent countryside, with our son in a bike trailer! It was so much fun."

You can read more about his experience of Marathon in May in this case study.
