Jason’s mountain adventure

In 2024, Jason took on two amazing challenges for PACT – running the London Marathon and climbing Mount Kilimanjaro!

“I wanted to mark my 50th celebrations by raising more resources for PACT.”

He said that climbing Mount Kilimanjaro was: “The toughest thing I have ever done. Start at midnight after a snowstorm and walk for 11.5 hours up and back through ankle to shin-deep snow. Then a quick tea and two and a half-hour walk to tonight’s accommodation.”

Jan’s abseil adventure

Jan and nine other incredible supporters abseiled down the 100ft tower at Dorchester Abbey. They raised over £6000 for PACT and Dorchester Abbey.

Jan said: “Abseiling down the Dorchester Abbey Tower is one of the most challenging things I have ever had to do but I am prepared to do it because I am passionate about the work PACT does.”

Phil’s cycling adventure

Phil completed a 170-mile cycling challenge to raise funds for PACT’s life-changing work. He cycled for three days between three of our office locations: Reading, Brighton and London.

Phil said: “PACT does fantastic work in supporting vulnerable children and women in the community as well as creating families through its adoption services.

“Day one was interesting during the amber weather warning and pouring rain last Monday!  Despite the weather, the huge hills in and out of Brighton and the London traffic, I had just two falls and two punctures, not bad for me!”

Your support will make a real difference to the families we support.

“The children are all achieving incredible things at school and doing after school activities, but most of all they’re just enjoying every minute of their childhood in such a more relaxed and happy environment.” – BB4K parent
