Supporter of the Month March 2020

Phil Lewis, adoptive dad and trustee

Phil Lewis, an adoptive dad from Crowthorne, began volunteering as a trustee at PACT in 2016.

In June 2019, Phil set himself the task of completing a 170-mile cycling challenge to raise funds for the vulnerable children, women and families PACT supports. He cycled for three days between PACT’s three office locations in Reading, Brighton and London.

The challenge was made even tougher by dreadful weather conditions, including an amber weather warning on the first day of his cycle, but through exceptional effort and stamina Phil managed to complete all 170 miles. He said: “Despite the weather, the huge hills in and out of Brighton and the London traffic, I had just two falls and two punctures, not bad for me!

When asked why he chose to do the challenge, Phil said: “PACT is full of inspirational people trying to make a difference and they need our support to make a real impact for vulnerable women and children affected by hardship.”

In total, Phil raised £1,021 through sponsorship from friends and family. Thank you for all you have done for PACT. You are a superstar!
