Eddie and Jody are an interracial couple who adopted two brothers through PACT in 2017. Since becoming fathers to their little boys, Eddie and Jody have been fantastic champions of the work PACT does to recruit and support adopters.
Always enthusiastic about adoption and PACT, the couple have spoken at information events for prospective adopters, in particular helping out with special Q&A events we run for LGBT+, Black and mixed race adopters. They have generously given their time to chat with prospective adopters to help encourage and reassure them about the adoption process and they always speak with humour, honesty and from the heart. They have also created a case study about their experience to help us recruit more adopters.
Jody and Eddie said: “PACT appeared in our lives when we were at our lowest ebb as prospective adopters. We’d been let go by our previous voluntary agency and felt like giving up. PACT’s person-centred approach and eagerness to listen were and continue to be a breath of fresh air and it’s the hard work of the whole PACT team that’s responsible for the happy family we are now. Anything we do for PACT only scratches the surface of everything that’s been done for us. We can’t praise you all enough!”
Jody and Eddie, thank you so much for all your support: you are PACT Superstars!
