Marathon in May
Can you complete a marathon in a month?
Marathon in May is a challenge anyone can do. The aim is to clock up the miles over the 31 days of May. Run, walk, hike, cycle, wheel, with children, with your dog, with friends or on your own; it’s your challenge, your way! Go as fast or slow as you like and complete the distance all at once, or break it down into chunks. Take part individually or join together as a family or group of colleagues or friends.
This year the challenge is free to join! But we encourage you to make a donation or raise sponsorship, then every mile you cover will be helping the families, women and children PACT supports every day through adoption services, therapeutic support, our women’s community project Alana House and our domestic abuse recovery programme Bounce Back 4 Kids.
Everyone taking part, including dogs, will receive:
- Welcome pack and printable colouring sheets to track your miles ✏️
- Digital certificate
- Raise or donate £26 or more and you will get a Marathon in May medal! That’s the equivalent of just £1 per mile 🏅
- Additional medals for participating pets and children can be purchased if required

I loved the tracking sheet. My five-year-old son did the challenge with me and really enjoyed colouring in each day.

Moving every day keeps me active and gives me a daily goal to achieve something positive that’s great for my wellbeing. It could be 10 minutes or it could be an hour, whatever I can fit in!

Marathon in May was great fun and it encouraged me to improve my fitness. I surprised myself by completing almost twice the distance in the month and having a great time doing it.
