Alana House Community Café
Alana House runs a community café to help women who attend the project to learn and practice valuable new skills, connect with other service users and engage in activities.
The café is available for Alana House service users, PACT staff and volunteers as well as invited professional guests. (Please note we are currently unable to accommodate children.)
We offer home-baked cakes and biscuits as well as hot drinks served by Alana House women to a professional standard. Guests will be asked to make a suggested non-compulsory donation of £1 per drink or piece of cake, with all funds raised being used to run and support the café.
Alana House women who have completed barista and food and hygiene training will be able to help out in the café on a rota basis.
We are currently limited with numbers and priority will be given to service users, however if you are in the building do please come by and we can give you a takeaway or if there is space, you can sit down and have a chat.

The café was created to help give Alana House women the chance to learn new skills and to practise these in a friendly and non-judgemental space, helping to boost their confidence and enhance their employability prospects.
The project has been made possible by funding from the Ministry of Justice and support from local organisations, including Kingdom Coffee, which provided barista skills training, and IKEA, which donated a new kitchen plus furniture and accessories.

The cafe is open on Tuesdays from 12.30pm-2.30pm for service users only.
