Family activities and events
PACT runs fun, therapeutic activity sessions for adopted children and their parents.
We have an exciting programme of activities including singing, drama, baking, craft and story time, with each session tailored to the specific age group of the children. Some events are taking place online over Zoom to allow families to join from any location, and we also run some in-person activities with the opportunity for parents and children to meet other adoptive families face-to-face.
As well as having fun and learning some new skills, these activity sessions are a great way for children to meet others who are also adopted.

Meet our activity leaders
Dan is an actor, singer and musician who has performed professionally in film and theatre productions and is the LAMDA drama coach in a children’s performing arts company. Dan grew up with an adopted brother so he understands all about adoption. He leads PACT’s family activities online, in Reading and is trialling the new Parents And Children Together Choir.
Beth has been a drama teacher in secondary schools for at least 20 years mainly in Surrey and brings a wealth of experience to the family activities team. Beth is herself an adopter of two now adult children and is one of PACT’s Adopter Champions, so understands all about adoption. Beth will be predominantly looking after the activities in East and West Sussex.
Please note: all our activity sessions are for PACT families only. Places are free but booking is essential. To book a spot for you and your child(ren), fill in the form at the bottom of the page or email adoptionsupport@pactcharity.org.
The age ranges indicated below are based on the required skill level, but we welcome children of other ages to join in if you feel they would enjoy the activities. Parents are required to attend with their child/children. Please book early so we can send you details of any required materials or ingredients.
