Children’s activities and events
PACT runs fun, therapeutic activity sessions for adopted children and their parents.
We have an exciting programme of activities including singing, drama, baking, craft and story time, with each session tailored to the specific age group of the children. Some events are taking place online over Zoom to allow families to join from any location, and we also run some in-person activities with the opportunity for parents and children to meet other adoptive families face-to-face.
As well as having fun and learning some new skills, these activity sessions are a great way for children to meet others who are also adopted.
Come and join us!

Meet our activity leaders

Dan is an actor, singer and musician in Hampshire. He has performed professionally in a range of film and theatre productions and is the LAMDA drama coach in a children’s performing arts company. Dan is also studying Applied and Contemporary Theatre at the Guildford School of Performing Arts. Dan grew up with an adopted brother so he understands all about adoption. He leads PACT’s children’s activities online and in Reading and will be expanding our range of activities for families in East and West Sussex.

Michelle is PACT’s new children’s worker in north west London. She is an occupational therapist’s assistant and regularly works with children with EHCPs and learning challenges. She has a passion for using art as a means of healing and self-expression. She will be expanding our range of activities for our London-based families.
Please note: all our activity sessions are for PACT families only. Places are free but booking is essential. To book a spot for you and your child(ren), fill in the form at the bottom of the page or email adoptionsupport@pactcharity.org.
The age ranges indicated below are based on the required skill level, but we welcome children of other ages to join in if you feel they would enjoy the activities. Parents are required to attend with their child/children. Please book early so we can send you details of any required materials or ingredients.

Parents who attended the groups with their children said:
Thank you for a wonderful drama workshop, Dan was fantastic and had great command of the participants – even the mums! [Our child] enjoyed it very much and appreciated the opportunity to be with other adopted children.
Easy to follow instructions, great fun for the kids. Really supportive comments from Megan and Dan for the kids.
Thanks for the time Dan and you took with our family on Saturday morning… [Our son] (who you may remember left the room for a bit and then sat in the back when he returned) kept saying how lovely it was and our daughter is always up for a good singing session. Anyways, we thought it was great, are looking forward to the next and want to thank you for your time!
A very belated thank you for the activity morning. [Our child] had a great time and even asked when the next one is! He also appreciated the postcard.
Thanks so much for a great day… Clearly a lot of work went into preparing the day and [our children] had a really good time – there have been several re-enactments of the Lion King with their masks in the garden since the day!
