Family and Friends webinar

This on-demand video recording is designed for the relatives and close friends of PACT’s adoptive families. The recording is available to the friends and family of PACT adopters during the later stages of the adoption process.

The course provides:

  • An overview of the backgrounds of children placed for adoption
  • An overview of attachment theory and how children placed for adoption can form healthy attachments
  • An opportunity to explore ways of supporting adoptive parents and adopted children

If you are a friend or family member of a PACT adopter and you would like to request a copy of the recording for your own training, please ask the prospective adopter.

Prospective adopters are able to request the link to the video and forward it on to family and friends. The link will be valid for one month.

Network meetings

Social workers hold these targeted meetings after a match is confirmed.

The meeting provides a valuable opportunity for family and friends to gain specific insights into the child joining their family. This allows them to tailor their support in the most effective ways, directly addressing the unique needs of the new family member.
