Family and Friends training
This virtual training course is designed for the relatives and close friends of PACT’s adoptive families.
The course provides:
- An overview of the backgrounds of children placed for adoption
- An overview of attachment theory and how children placed for adoption can form healthy attachments
- An opportunity to explore ways of supporting adoptive parents and adopted children
Starting from September 2023, this course will be moved to an on-demand video recording which will be made available to the friends and family of PACT adopters during the later stages of the adoption process.
If you are a friend or family member of a PACT adopter and you would like to request a copy of the recording for your own training, please ask the prospective adopter.
Prospective adopters are able to request the link to the video and forward it on to family and friends.
How to join the video recording
Prospective adopters are able to request the link to the video and forward it on to family and friends. The link will be valid for a month.
