Thames Valley family fun day at Camp Mohawk

Dear PACT family,

You are invited to attend this year’s PACT Family Fun Day! Our fun days are a free day for PACT adopters and children to enjoy activities, share experiences, catch up with friends and meet other families. PACT staff will also be there to join in the fun!

All the details of the event are below, but if you have any questions please do get in touch.

Please note that lunch will be not provided. We will be packing our sandwiches and invite you to bring your own picnics and blankets. Please note that there are no catering facilities at Camp Mohawk. Free tea, coffee, squash and water will be available.

Getting there by car
Camp Mohawk is situated in 5 acres of ancient woodland near Wargrave, Berkshire. It is relatively secluded but is well sign posted from the centre of Wargrave, which is situated on the A321 between Twyford and Henley. As well as the map below, we advise that you follow the directions provided. The postcode for your SatNav is RG10 8PU.

A word of warning; ‘Sat Navs’, both old and new, have been known to lead people to the wrong location so please double check before heading off. If you get lost, then please do not hesitate to call 0118 940 4045 and someone will be able to direct you.

Event details:
Upon your arrival at Camp Mohawk, please make your way to the reception. Members of PACT staff will be there to welcome you and register your family before you enter the venue.

You are free to enjoy Camp Mohawk from 10am to 4pm. We will be gathering together at 12pm until 2pm approximately for lunch, games and cake.

Our meeting place will be dependent upon the weather on the day. The exact meeting place will be given to you upon your arrival at Camp Mohawk.

Running order

  • 10am to 12pm arrival and registration
  • 12pm meet for lunch
  • 12.20pm speech by Lorna Hunt
  • 12.25pm cake cutting and sharing
  • 12.30pm to 2pm mingling, family games and crafts
  • 2pm close

There are also lots of other facilities and activities at Camp Mohawk that you can enjoy your leisure until it closes at 4pm. We will have exclusive use of Camp Mohawk, for more information please visit their website here.

Important booking information
Please enter your PACT office and social worker on your booking form. You only need to enter this once.

You will also need to select, ‘enter details of previous registrant’ for each child on your booking to avoid entering the names of your childre/ren.

If you would like to book a swimming pool session for your family, please indicate this on your booking form. This activity will depend on the weather and subject to availability.

As always, please have your fingers crossed for sunshine but do come prepared in case of wet weather as the activities are mostly outside. In the event of adverse weather conditions being forecast for the day, we will notify you by email if the event is cancelled.

There will be tables and seating available but do feel free to bring a picnic blanket or a camping chair along with you.
