Jonathan

Jonathan, aged 40, lives near Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire.

Jonathan said: “I am a deputy headteacher and designated safeguarding lead of a primary school in Oxfordshire. Leading on safeguarding is one of the roles that I get most job satisfaction from, as it gives me the chance to focus on prioritising the safety and wellbeing of the children in our school – nothing is more important than this.

In this role, I work with many external agencies and professionals and including engaging with PACT’s Bounce Back 4 Kids (BB4K) team, for families who have experienced domestic abuse. As a result, I have witnessed first-hand the positive impact the support BB4K’s therapy has on children and families. I have also worked with adopted children, who have benefitted from adoption agencies similar to PACT: the advice and guidance adoptive families receive throughout the adoption process has proved invaluable.

Jonathan says that his training for the 2026 London Marathon is going well: “I’m starting to build the distance up and took part in a half marathon in October. I’m on track at this point. I do regular running in the week, with Park Runs and longer runs at the weekend. I’m tracking my running on Strava and hoping to get some PBs on the way!”
