Sarah

Sarah Morris is a 40-year-old assistant headteacher from Reading.

Sarah said: “Working in a secondary school, I felt very strongly that I wanted to raise money for a local charity that can make a difference to children and young families. I wanted to support a charity which both supports people to become a family and also supports those who have difficulties within their families. Having friends who work for the charity, I believe in the amazing work they do and the opportunity to support them means the world to me.”

She began running 11 years ago to support her mental health after her daughter was born and has already completed the Reading and Cardiff Half Marathons twice. Now in her forties, Sarah is embracing the challenge of her first full marathon. Training has taken her across beautiful routes in Pembrokeshire, along the Thames Path, and through Berkshire, though she admits the early gym sessions are less enjoyable!

With strong family ties to London, Sarah is excited to experience the marathon’s iconic sights with her children cheering her on. She hopes her challenge will inspire donations to PACT, whose work supporting families across Reading means so much to her.
