Jez Balas

Jez, aged 43, has a very special reason to raise funds for PACT. He said: “We adopted our boys through PACT back in 2013. The boys were one year old and 7 months old when we adopted them. They’re 12 and nearly 13 now!”

Jez previously raised funds for PACT in the 2014 London Marathon so appreciates the time and effort needed to compete.

When asked what he is most looking forward to on race day, Jez said: “Taking it in. I didn’t enjoy the second half as much as I could have last time. It’s such an incredible event and I want to be grateful for the experience. Tell me that around 20 miles in!”

“The picture is me with my friend Laura (running for Dreamflight in her first marathon) wearing my one of a kind ‘running beanie’ knitted by my late Granny “Mutte” who passed away last year at 100 years old. I wear it in her memory.”
