Stuart Hogarth and Sindlesham Masonic Lodge No 8293

We’re delighted to celebrate the incredible support of Stuart Hogarth and Sindlesham Masonic Lodge No 8293 who raised an amazing £3240 for us.

Stuart told us more: “As part of our year raising money, we ran various raffles to raise funds and had donations from our own Lodge as well as the Berkshire Masonic Golfers who donated £500 from their golf days and COSTCO who gave £150. The final event of the year was a charity ball where there was a raffle and an auction, we were lucky to have some local companies and organisations donate prizes for us to auction off. These included: a signed Reading football, Nirvana Spa vouchers, family tickets to Marvellous Festival, meals at a local Bahgecha Indian restaurant in Burghfield Common, lane rental at Gravelly Bridge Shooting Range and tickets for a day at Newbury races. All prizes supplied by the organisations mentioned. The generosity of these local companies was fantastic, and we were very grateful for their support, as well as the support of the Freemasons and other guests that attended the ball and purchased the items for the charity as well as all those who bought raffle tickets throughout the year.”

Stuart and his colleagues James Graham and Darren Smith also took the time to visit us at Alana House to see first-hand how we change lives and answer questions from the women who we support about how they fundraised for us. The women found their chat both interesting and inspiring.

Stuart said: “Our Lodge chose to support PACT as our charity for the year partly due to knowing someone who worked for the charity, but mainly due to work the charity does to support families and vulnerable children in the local area. A local charity was important to us, and we felt that PACT was a good fit with the range of different services it offers.”

Support from Stuart and organisations like Sindlesham Masonic Lodge is so important to us. Our programmes Alana House, Bounce Back 4 Kids and Adoption Support receive no statutory funding and every penny needed to run these transformational projects must be fundraised for. Without the support of kind people like Stuart and his colleagues we would not be able to continue to help people to recover from trauma and abuse. He really is a super star.

Could your organisation fundraise for us and help us to transform lives?  If it can, and you would like to get started, please email PACT’s Community Fundraiser Sarah: sarah.hacker@pactcharity.org.
