Cormac

Cormac Doyle, aged 45, will run both the Manchester Marathon and the London Marathon just one week apart for PACT.

Cormac and his wife Kate adopted their two daughters through PACT in 2021. Cormac said: “In 2021, after a long and emotional journey, PACT matched my wife Kate and me with two incredible daughters, making our dream to be parents a reality.

This year’s challenge will mark Cormac’s second and third full marathons. He completed his first London Marathon in 2025, raising an impressive £2,716 for PACT. Cormac said: “I did say never again after crossing the finishing line last year but, after letting it all soak in and reflecting on the amazing atmosphere of the day, I’m back to do it all again!”

Despite that vow, Cormac says he’s excited to take on the two-race challenge. When asked what he’s most looking forward to on the race days, Cormac said: “Proving I can do it. The girls know I am doing it for them, so I’m looking forward to seeing them cheering me on. Doing two marathons in eight days is a crazy challenge to set myself, but the support from friends and family as well as the crowd cheering me and all the other participants on is amazing!”
