Blog: Donations instead of weddings gifts for Rosie’s wedding

Weddings are wonderful events, full of happiness, laughter and cheer. You might be used to the happily married couple asking for gifts from their guests, but how about a donation to charity? This is exactly what Rosie is doing for her wedding. Rosie is asking her loved ones to donate to PACT instead of buying the usual wedding presents.

Rosie told us more: “I am very passionate about what PACT stands for and the support it provides for individuals as well as families. As a support worker for Bounce Back 4 Kids, I feel very proud to work for such an amazing charity and want to spread the word to my friends and family on our wedding day!”

Rosie works for PACT’s Bounce Back 4 Kids programme, our therapeutic recovery programme supporting children and their non-perpetrating parents or carers affected by trauma caused by domestic abuse.

PACT’s chief executive Natausha van Vliet said: “We would like to thank Rosie for her generosity and dedication to PACT and send best wishes to Rosie and her fiancé, Tim, for their wedding day and married life together.”

There are many ways to fundraise to support PACT’s work building adoptive families and empowering women, children and parents to embrace a positive future. Click here to set up a fundraising event or learn more about supporting PACT’s work.
