David, aged 35, is an anaesthetist from Clapham, London.

PACT is a charity very close to David’s heart. He said: “My wife, Charlotte and I have been approved to adopt and very recently had a little girl placed with us. I think that PACT is an amazing charity and offer such great help and resources to adoptive families.”

“I have run a marathon once before but am so excited to be running such an iconic event in my home city. Training is going well and the support of friends and family is really encouraging me to continue on those dark, drizzly morning runs!”

When asked what he’s most looking forward to on race day, David said: “I am most looking forward to feeling the support of the crowd and crossing the finish line where I know my family will be waiting.”
