Chat virtually to a FACTS therapist about how your family is getting on and discuss any concerns you may have, in a relaxed and informal setting.

Baljit, our FACTS therapist is highly experienced in adoption work and has a background in psychotherapy, social work, training and groupwork and is also trained in Theraplay and DDP.

What is your child’s nervous system trying to tell you?

A supportive and interactive sensory processing parent/carer workshop exploring the common sensory preferences, patterns and behavioural responses we might see at home. The workshop will include opportunities to share your own insights and experiences, and quiz Lucy on sensory strategies for greater calm and playful family time together.

Lucy Brown is an Occupational Therapist and Sensory Integration Practitioner. Lucy has been supporting our PACT families via our FACTS service since 2020, contributing to Multidisciplinary Assessment and delivering direct Sensory Integration therapy.

Amy, PACT’s Education Lead brings you this bitesize workshop on navigating the education system.

Designed to help adopters of younger children build confidence in choosing, communicating with, and securing support from schools.

Join us for a fun and memorable day at Battersea Park Children’s Zoo, where children and families can get closer to animals, nature, and adventure in the heart of London. This is a great opportunity to meet and connect with other PACT families, build friendships and enjoy time together in a relaxed setting.

The zoo boasts an impressive adventure playground, ideal for children of all ages and abilities to learn, discover and play. Imaginations will run wild in the great outdoors whilst exploring the real- life tractor, fire engine and helicopter as well as the giant climbing web and sensory sandpit.

Support group for PACT adoptive mothers.

This group, led by PACT’s Adoption Support Team, offers mums and mums-to-be the chance to meet together online to talk through challenges, ask questions and share support, encouragement and advice.

A link will be provided to attend online via Microsoft Teams (full details will be sent after booking).

Please note: these sessions are only available to approved PACT adopters (with or without children placed), and those in Stage 2 of the adoption assessment process with PACT who have completed a DBS check.

*Mothers of 11 year-old children, please attend the session that matches your child’s school setting – primary or secondary

Thinking about becoming a parent through adoption? PACT’s new London drop-in sessions offer a friendly place to start.

These free in-person sessions give prospective adopters the choice to ask questions and explore adoption with no pressure or obligation to begin the process.

You will meet members of PACT’s adoption team and learn information about:

– Who can adopt

– The adoption assessment process

– The children waiting for adoptive families

– The support available before, during and after adoption
