Meet Heather, PACT’s LGBTQ+ Champion

Hi I’m Heather Liveston and my pronouns are she/her. I am a PACT Senior Social Worker, EDEI (equality, diversity, equality and inclusion) group member and LGBTQ+ Champion!

In this role, I work closely with the LGBTQ+ adoption and fostering support organisation, New Family Social, to promote LGBTQ+ awareness and best practice. I recommend that you visit their website or socials if you are not aware of them already! I am also on hand to answer any questions about adopting if you’re LGBTQ+. 

I am LGBTQ+ myself and am a proud wife and mum of two boys, a cat, a dog, four guinea pigs and a hamster! One of my proudest achievements was contributing to a book on LGBTQ+ parenting called ‘Pride and Joy’!
