Employees from nuclear security technologies company AWE have chosen adoption and trauma recovery charity Parents And Children Together (PACT) as their new charity partner.
PACT helps hundreds of families every year through adoption, support services and community projects across southern and central England. Established in 1911, PACT is now one of the UK’s leading adoption agencies.
Dedicated to the placement of children with secure and loving adoptive families, it provides continued support through therapeutic services, supporting and empowering women facing multiple disadvantages and building hope with the recovery of children affected by domestic abuse.
AWE staff will support PACT by fundraising, giving employees volunteering time to help with activities and generally raising awareness and promoting the charity’s valuable work.
PACT’s Chief Executive Natausha van Vliet said:
“It is wonderful to receive such a positive response from AWE’s people and to know that they are offering their time and support to fundraise for our work. It means a lot to us and we are really looking forward to developing our partnership and helping even more women, children and families.”
AWE’s Kavita Thandi, Responsible Business Manager, said:
“Supporting our local communities is very important to everyone here at AWE and the work that PACT does to support parents and children is inspirational. Last year alone, 78 children found loving permanent homes via PACT and we are excited about working with and supporting the amazing PACT team.”
