Will is a 21-year-old construction engineering management student at Loughborough University!

William has a personal connection to PACT’s work. He said: “I first became aware of how important supporting adoption is through my own family’s experience. My grandma was adopted, and more recently a family friend completed their family, having adopted an 8-year-old girl.”

“It has been brilliant to watch how much joy and happiness they all now have in their lives, and the fun and laughter that a child can bring.”

This will be the first time William has entered a marathon event. He said: “Although I like to think of myself as a sporty person, running a marathon is something that had never entered my head before.

“To me running acts as a get-away. it allows me to take a step back from work, unwind, and not worry about anything. I have never associated running as an activity to challenge myself. However, once marathon training begun, the challenge aspect kicked in, and I have been pushing myself ever since.”
