Buddy support for parents with children with additional needs
Are you are a parent of a child or children with additional needs? Would you like to speak to other parents with similar families for support.
We can arrange to link you with another family for buddy support.
If you would like buddy support, please email Adoption Team Manager Lara Rowlinson.
EHCP application support
We understand that completing an Education, Health, and Care Plan (EHCP) application can be daunting. If you are a PACT adoptive parent and would like support filling out an EHCP application, a fellow PACT adoptive parent is happy to help.
Please contact Sam Ward to request support and she will put you in touch.

Could you be a buddy?
We are looking for parents who have experience of completing DLA and/or EHCP applications who would be happy to help other families navigate these areas. Please contact Sam Ward if you would like to help.
Advice from parents who have adopted a child with additional needs
PACT adopters were among the parents who contributed to this advice guide, produced by the Consortium of Voluntary Adoption Agencies (CVAA), containing helpful information for anyone considering adopting a child with additional needs.
