Clinical Supervisor for creative arts student placements
Location: Reading
Contract type: Self-employed contractor
Hours per week: 1 hour per week for duration of student’s placement with PACT
Salary: Hourly rate: £60 per hour
Closing date: 9am Tuesday, 27th May 2025
Run by Parents and Children Together (PACT), Bounce Back 4 Kids (BB4K) is a support programme for children and families affected by domestic abuse. The programme uses therapeutic techniques, aimed at children aged between 3 and 11 years old and their non-abusing parent. It has been developed by PACT and provides support to families once the abuse has ended and the perpetrator is no longer living in the family home.
As part of a range of family support options, creative arts therapies such as play therapy, art therapy and counselling play an important part in the suite of services delivered. PACT partners with various training providers such as the University of Roehampton to offer student placements to trainee therapists which enhance the service provision and give valuable experiences to people undertaking their qualifications.
We are looking for a self-employed contractor to provide clinical supervision for our therapeutic arts students.
You must be qualified creative arts practitioner with 3 years post qualification experience, who is registered with the HCPC. Ideally, you will be an art therapist and also hold a qualification in supervision, but this is not an essential requirement.
The time commitment would be approximately 1 hour per week for supervision with 1 art therapy student for the duration of their placement with PACT. Supervision preferably takes place in person, but can be online. Some additional support correspondence by phone or email between supervisions may also be required.
It is expected that you will provide your own professional indemnity insurance.
For an informal discussion, please contact Luke Pepperell, BB4K Manager on 07834 168314 or email luke.pepperell@pactcharity.org
We look forward to hearing from you!
