Support for adopters

*Notice*

Please note: all scheduled face-to-face support events will no longer take place for the foreseeable future, due to government advice on social distancing. Those already booked onto events will be contacted by a member of the PACT team.

We are working to move some of our events online and we will share details of these when we have them.

PACT runs events designed to meet the needs of adoptive parents. We listen to your feedback and do our best to create events in response to the most common challenges adopters are facing.

Disability Living Allowance workshops

Completing a Disability Living Allowance application can be challenging. We are running events to give you the chance to speak to an expert while we look after your children.

Adopter support evenings

We are running new Adopter Support Evenings with each evening focusing on a particular topic.

You can access further support and advice by getting in touch with our Adopter Champions or visiting the Adopter Hub. If you need the help of our therapeutically-trained social workers or you think your child may need therapy, take a look at our Strenghtening Families Team and our Family and Children Therapeutic Support (FACTS) service.

We also run events for families, such as our annual Family Fun Days. You can find out more about our family support events here.
