News: Vote for PACT!

Did you know you can support PACT in less than a minute? ⏰ PACT is in for the chance to win a PACT-branded bus for a year! This would be invaluable and mean we could raise awareness of our life-changing work as the bus drives through Oxfordshire.

PACT’s journey began in Oxford in 1911. Miss Sharpe was appointed as PACT’s first rescue worker by the Diocese Council. She could be seen riding her bike around Oxford to support mothers to build better lives for their children. PACT now helps hundreds of families every year. Our focus on providing specialist services that are not available locally remains constant and children are at the centre of what we do.

By becoming this year’s Brand the Bus charity, PACT would be able to:

  • Find and support more permanent, loving families in Oxfordshire for children waiting. There are currently 2,580 children in England waiting to be adopted – a 22% increase from the previous year*. A PACT bus would increase PACT’s visibility and enable us to reach more people in Oxfordshire, of different backgrounds and experiences, who are considering growing their family through adoption.
  • Support more children across Oxfordshire who have experienced domestic abuse. Shocking figures reveal that more children could suffer domestic abuse than start primary school in England and Wales this year**. For those affected by the trauma of domestic abuse, seeing our message could be life-changing.
  • Increase community engagement. Through powerful family imagery and short testimonials, we would aim to evoke emotional connection and curiosity. This could encourage people to get involved with PACT through volunteering or donating. The skills, experience, and generosity our volunteers bring are invaluable.
  • Encourage partnerships with local businesses. PACT values the vital contributions that local businesses bring to our work and aspires to create more meaningful and mutually beneficial partnerships with Oxfordshire-based businesses.

Overall, a branded bus would enable PACT to raise awareness of our life-changing work, increase community involvement and amplify PACT’s reach to support even more children and families affected by trauma.
