James Denny and Emily McAuley, Designers

Designer James, founder of Purple Hare, and his daughter Emily volunteered their time to create PACT’s Coronation Royal Walk and Activity Trail map last month.

James and Emily worked in partnership with local Reading tour guide Terry Dixon, founder of Terry’s Reading Walkabouts, to create the trail map which guides walkers around some of the many sites across Reading that have been visited by kings and queens over the centuries. The family-friendly trail was released in the lead up to the King’s coronation and provides history and fun facts about Reading’s royal connections.

The map is available to download for free here, and hard copies are available at selected sites across town. As we celebrate the King’s birthday this June, why not download the map and try out the trail yourself?

James said: “With a shared love of history, we were amazed to discover quite how much of it Reading has, most of it widely unknown. It has been a wonderful opportunity to share these discoveries with a charity which does such inspirational work with underprivileged children.”

Thank you James and Emily; you are PACT superstars!
