Kim Gelling has been part of PACT’s executive board since 2020 and is the lead trustee for marketing. Like all our trustees, she generously donates her time and expertise to govern PACT’s operations and helps us bring about the best outcomes for those who use our services. Kim brings a wealth of knowledge and skills to PACT’s board through her previous roles in sales and marketing at L’Oreal and Ella’s Kitchen.
In April 2023, Kim was one of seven runners who pledged to complete the TCS London Marathon in support of PACT. A keen runner, Kim had previously completed marathons in Berlin and Barcelona before having children, and jumped at the chance to run again, this time for PACT.
Kim set herself the target of raising £2,000 and shared her fundraising page with friends and family to ask for their support. In the lead up to the race, she hosted a fundraising quiz which was attended by more than 100 people, raising a significant amount of money and awareness for PACT.
On race day, she completed the marathon with a fantastic time of 3 hours 43 minutes and, on top of that, raised over £4,500 which was more than double her target!
Kim said:
“I felt so privileged to be raising money for PACT – everyone was pleased to help me raise money for such a worthwhile and deserving cause. Knowing each of my strides pounding the pavement in London contributed to PACT’s fundraising was really motivating! The marathon was an amazing event, the lift from the crowds all the way along the route was brilliant! Thank you for the opportunity!”
