Rachel Eden, Mayor of Reading

Rachel Eden is an accountant and trainer as well as director at Holy Brook Associates. She was elected as a councillor to Whitley ward in 2010 and became Mayor of Reading in 2021.

Rachel has supported our women’s community project Alana House for many years in her role as both a councillor and the current Mayor of Reading. Rachel has visited our Alana House Community Café alongside Matt Rodda MP and attended many of our events and fundraisers, including our recent carol concert in Reading Minster where we were honoured to have her give a reading.

When asked why she is so supportive of Alana House, Rachel said:

“Alana House is a unique place – where women can rebuild their lives in a safe environment. It’s all about meeting women where they are and empowering them without judgement with confidentially and respect. I’ve seen the amazing difference it makes to women’s lives and it’s an honour to support them.”

We would like to thank Rachel for her support over the years and the way she has championed both the work we do and the women who attend Alana House.

Thank you Rachel; you are a PACT superstar!
