Event Details

We are running an in-person activity day in Reading for PACT adopted children aged 3-11 and parents. Our activity days are a great opportunity for parents and children to meet other adoptive families in a relaxed setting.

The day will run from 10.30am-3.30pm with some activities as well as time for families to relax, chat and get to know each other. The activities will be:

11am-12pm – Gluing and Sticking with Dan for ages 3-5

The first session will be a chance for the younger children to get creative with gluing and sticking. At the end of the session they get to take home their creations.

12pm-1pm – Bring your own picnic

A chance to have some food and get to know other families.

1.30pm-2.30pm – Making Sensory boxes with Dan for ages 6-11

In the second session we will be decorating sensory boxes. We will provide some things to go inside and parents and children can add to these when they get home. A sensory box is used to help a child settle when anxious or dysregulated. It will have different textured things in to touch and play with, and ideas for helping them to calm down, like breathing exercises and games to play.

To book, please fill out the form at the bottom of this page or email adoptionsupport@pactcharity.org. Full details and address will be provided after booking. We look forward to seeing you!
