Verizon, a multinational telecommunications company has been supporting PACT in many ways since January 2023.
Verizon’s Reading based employees donated much needed items from an Amazon wishlist for PACT’s community projects Alana House and Bounce Back 4 Kids (BB4K).
Members of the PACT team attended a charity event at Verizon HQ in September 2023 and sold copies of Alana House recipe books. Verizon employees filled more than 100 goody bags with handwritten cards of encouragement and treats for the women who come to Alana House, and for BB4K children.
In March 2024, PACT representatives spoke to over 60 employees about the work we do at PACT. Verizon employees kindly donated wellbeing packs for the Alana House service users, more than 320 new children’s books inscribed with messages of hope, a huge box of second hand books, backpacks, and more to follow. Some have enquired about volunteering with PACT and we have already been invited to the next charity event in the autumn to promote PACT’s work.
A representative from Verizon said: “As an adoptive father of two and the International Lead for Verizon’s Employee Resource Group for Parents and Caregivers, PACT and its BB4K project are very close to my heart. Storytelling is so powerful and therapeutic for young children, particularly those with traumatic experiences. It was a truly imPACTful event!”
